Buford Corn Maze Opening For 16th Season This Fall Under New Owners

Owners plan no changes to South Hall entertainment complex

Buford (July 30, 2024) – Cindy and Billy Sachse have purchased the Buford Corn Maze. They are looking forward to operating the maze along with their other business, The Dahlonega Butterfly Farm.

The Sachses will seek opportunities to “cross-pollinate” between the corn maze and the butterfly farm.

“Nothing has changed as far as the operation of the corn maze and the upcoming season,” the Sachses said. “We are excited about the 2024 season that starts Labor Day weekend and our customers can expect the same great time they have had for over a decade. We’ll be adding a few new attractions while embracing the 3 pollinators as the theme for this year.”

The Buford Corn Maze opens its 16th season on Aug. 31. This South Hall County family-friendly entertainment complex will have all the patrons’ favorite activities and events again this year.

The corn maze is still the main attraction but there is fun for everyone, including a hayride, a popcorn jumping pillow, a farmer’s combine slide, an animal viewing area, a pumpkin patch, pony rides, and Kid’s Corn-er play area. For those teens and tweens who are looking for a thrill, there’s a Haunted Forest that opens in late September.

Also, since last season, the property has been annexed into the City of Buford. However, this does not affect the operation of the business, and the corn maze owners look forward to working with the City of Buford as it continues to grow.

Buford Corn Maze, which has been named one of the top Corn Mazes in the US three times by Country Living magazine, has provided family entertainment in the fall since 2008. It draws 60,000 customers annually from all over northeast Georgia and metro Atlanta.

Located on Friendship Road in Buford (Exit 8, I-985), activities at this family attraction will run through Nov. 12. Address: 4470 Bennett Rd, Buford, Ga. 30519. For more information, visit www.BufordCornMaze.com.
